Miani Giron Miani Giron is a 2012 WLP alum from Gardena High School and a former foster care youth.  She received her B.S. from Syracuse University in 2016 and is currently enrolled in the UCLA medical school. Miani is the first in her family to go to college.  She was featured in the Sept. 2016 issue of the Humanist Magazine.

Clay Wesley Clay Wesley is a 2010 WLP alum from Gardena High School and a former foster care youth.  She is currently finishing her undergraduate degree at Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles and is the first in her family to go to college.  Clay is a foster care youth advocate and has worked with California Youth Connect and IFoster.  In 2016, Clay received the L.A. Urban Policy Roundtable's "Spirit of the Kings" award for her work with foster youth and girls of color in South L.A.
